• PRT Sensor Realignment: The platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) measures the precise temperature at which ice melts (0.0°C). Technicians test, realign, or replace this sensor if it has drifted out of tolerance.
• Peltier Element Testing: The system's internal thermoelectric cooling pump (Peltier element) is tested to ensure it can reach the low temperatures required to freeze the mirror correctly.
• Optical Core Replacement: If the mirror surface is permanently scratched, pitted, corrupted by chemical corrosion, or suffers from optical misalignment, the entire optical mirror block is replaced
